Grogan’s Mill

Grogan’s Mill, the gateway to The Woodlands and first of the villages, was named after the original Grogan/Cochran Lumber Mill that was once located on the property. The land that had been in timber production since the late 1800’s yielded to the new community’s progress in October 1974. The village opened with a celebratory flag raising and guest appearance by William Shatner who starred as Captain Kirk in Star Trek.

There are approximately 5,195 homes and 13,500 residents who call Grogan’s Mill home. The Woodlands Resort & Conference Center, along with three distinctive golf courses, The Oaks, Panther Trail and The Woodlands Country Club’s Tournament Course help make up this village.
