Panther Creek

Unveiled in 1977, the Village of Panther Creek is home to more than 5,000 homes and 13,860 people. An actual creek – Panther Creek – runs through the village which borders the west shore of Lake Woodlands, and includes several waterfront neighborhoods, along with two waterfront parks.

Northshore Park features public picnic areas, a public ramp for non-motorized boats and a venue for musical entertainment. Southshore Park includes an observation platform for views of 200-acre Lake Woodlands, surrounding neighborhoods and an up-close look at the Rise of the Midgard Serpent (more commonly referred to as “the dragon”) which was gifted by Cynthia Woods Mitchell in celebration of the opening of the lake.
